(free) Building Youth Resilience (Bellevue)

April 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT

free

Youth Eastside Services (YES) will have a free “Building Resilience Toward A Successful Launch” program on April 30th, 2019, at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens from 6:00-8:00pm.

Building Resilience Toward a Successful Launch
Being young isn’t easy. Recognizing the overwhelming amount of stress kids face today, our upcoming community program, Building Resilience Towards A Successful Launch, offers parents and caregivers strategies for dealing with academic performance pressure, high achievement standards, negative media messages, peer pressure, and family tension.

Resilience is the ability to cope with challenges and difficult circumstances. More than this, it is the ability to overcome these circumstances by finding new and positive ways to achieve goals. This program covers topics such as how to help kids re-orient unhelpful thinking, how to allow and encourage youth to learn from their mistakes, and how to give youth opportunities to build competence.

The program will be held on April 30th, at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens from 6 to 8 p.m. It’s free, but space is limited and we’re filling up fast, so RSVP today!
