Welcome to Our Web Site!
What we do. A nonprofit educational organization founded in 1975, the Puget Sound Adlerian Society offers information, referrals, workshops, courses, and other resources and support to parents, parent educators, teachers, counselors, school counselors, therapists, psychologists, workplace managers, and other people who are interested in mutually respectful, cooperative relationships--community-building--in families, classrooms, workplaces, and everywhere else. Adlerian Psychology is the foundation of our work. (See Adlerian Psychology 101.)
Parent education has been a major focus. We help parents choose attitudes and actions of respect for their children and themselves, attitudes and actions that strengthen a child’s sense of belonging and strengthen the family. (Click on The Parenting Calendar, which lists many agencies’ parenting courses, and Just What Is Sanity Circus?)
We also offer seminars, workshops, and other events for counselors, therapists, social workers, educators, school counselors, parents, parent educators, and psychologists, with CE hours and clock hours. (See PSAS Events. Flyers for specific events are linked.)
We invite your participation in PSAS. Members and friends are welcome to our monthly Adlerian Forum (usually the first Friday of the month), which offers presentations and discussion on various topics including parenting and counseling. Among the benefits of membership are discounts on many events and most book purchases. (See Membership Form.)
We also invite your financial support! This year we are operating on a deficit budget and need your help. Please call us!
